Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine has released a podcast of me reading my story, “Taking Care”. It was great fun to record with Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine editor, Linda Landrigan.
Southern Humor and Southern Crime, a new humor/crime combo anthology from Blue Room Books, features my story, “Married in Haste”, set in Pawleys Island, SC. This book was two years in development and is available internationally through Amazon and for order through independent bookstores everywhere.
I’ll be at Book Passage in Corte Madera this Sunday, talking about Fault Lines with fellow writers.
I have a new story out in an anthology called, Fault Lines: Stories by Northern California Crime Writers. The book was edited by Margaret Lucke. My story is called, “Please See Me,” and I got the idea from an old college term paper my mother wrote about robberies in our sleepy cul-de-sac. It’s a fun anthology and there are so many great stories inside.

I’m headed to the Malice Domestic mystery fiction conference, May 3-5 in Bethesda, MD, and as you can see from the photo above, I’ll be moderating the Mystery Shorts panel on Sunday morning.
I’ll have a story in Fault Lines, the 2019 Northern California chapter of Sisters in Crime anthology set to launch in late March just in time for the Left Coast Crime Convention in Vancouver. The story is called, “Please See Me,” and it was inspired by an old term paper on crime that my mother wrote in college. Big thanks to the Sisters in Crime Nor Cal chapter for publishing Fault Lines, especially editor, Margaret Lucke.

Mystery Weekly Magazine has produced my mystery short story, “A Christmas Miracle”, in audio just in time for the holidays. You can find the audio file on Sound Cloud.

Darkhouse Books has published a fun anthology featuring librarians as crime solvers called Shhhh…Murder! My friend Pat Hernas and I co-wrote the first story in the anthology, Wuthering Stacks. The book is available now on Amazon in print and ebook.
My friend, Pat Hernas and I, co-wrote a story for an upcoming anthology from Darkhouse Books called, Shhh...Murder. All of the stories take place in a library, so since Pat is a librarian, she was super helpful with her inside perspective. This story marks the debut of Bronte Williams, a determined librarian who knows how to solve a murder. It's currently slated for August release, but we'll let you know when we know the final debut date.
The May/June issue features my short story, "Taking Care." It was great fun to write. It made it's debut at the Malice Domestic Conference in Bethesda, MD and we had a great time.
If you love traditional mysteries, you may want to join me at Malice Domestic, a convention in Bethesda, MD in late April. They've got a great set of honorees this year and the Sunday Tea is not to be missed.
My story, "Taking Care," will appear in the May/June issue of Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine which hits newsstands April 26th.
Blood on the Bayou wins an Anthony Award for Best Anthology of 2016 at the 2017 Bouchercon Mystery Convention. My story, "Blowhards in the Bayou", was in included in this anthology. You can read all about the awards here and get a copy of the book here.
Blood on the Bayou: The Bouchercon 2016 Anthology is now available for pre-order from Amazon Kindle. Paper copies should be made available after September 16, 2016. At Bouchercon in Cleveland, I got the tremendous opportunity to meet both Mary and Carol Higgins Clark. Mary was one of the guests of honor and stories just flow in and out of her like breath. Here she is signing a special book bag for my mom.
